Acknowledgements

"Most Sacred Things" only exists thanks to the involvement/contributions of lots of brilliant and enthusiastic people.

This project was funded via several grants:

  • British Academy/Leverhulme Trust SRG1819\190576 £9,990
  • GASR010112 - Cambridge Humanities Research Grants Scheme - Tier 2 £19,635

It builds on an initial Fitzwilliam Museum Marlay Group grant from 2018 for research into, and cataloguing of the Hayley Papers.

The project stands on the shoulders of many other digital projects – software was used from Omeka, Hypothes.is, Mediawiki and Scripto, with crowdsourcing also powered by Micropasts.

Philo van Kemenade and Alexa Steinbrück designed the interface and conducted the user experience work.
