I arrived here on this day se’ennight & letters from M.rs Nicholas & M.rs Gladwin followed me hither on the following day. That yours therefore should have failed surprises me - but I hope to be made amends on this day se’ennight by good reports of both you & Tom which I will request you to direct to me in Derby - I return thither on Monday.
The Muse desires her love & hopes you received a letter from her since M.r Saville went to the sea. We shall not forget to drink dear Tom’s health on friday.
